JR Kyoto Station 京都駅

Kinkaku-ji Temple 金閣寺
- Bus to Kitaoji station, then Subway Karasuma Line south to Gojo, then walk. Approximately 37 minutes in total.

Kyoto Subway

Two simple lines

Kyoto's subway network is easy to navigate. There are just two lines:

The Karasuma Line runs North to South and is the line you will most likely use — Gojo station is on this line, a short walk from the temple.

The Tozai Line runs East to West (and South-East to West). It connects at Karasuma Oike if you are arriving from the east side of the city.
